Trash the Dress Sessions

by admin on Aug.29, 2009, under Uncategorized

For those who know me and for those new to my work you know or will know that one of my passions is shooting TTD sessions! I get a kick out of shooting brides during these session and some of the ladies actually just went out a bought a dress from a five and dime shop to do such a shoot with me. The five ladies in the video below as you will see were just awesome to work with and super excited about doing this and most of them had their own ideas of what they wanted to do.
Sheena – Sheena was the first Trash the Bride for me. She isnt married and wasnt dating anyone at the time of this shoot either…how I dont know is another story. Sheena is another photographer in town and knew that I had been wanting to do this for awhile so she found a dress for less than $20, I bought the vail and scouted locations. We shot out in a field by Millard for the Coca-cola pictures. Then we head off towards Dodge Park and shot up in that area and even got a few shots off on the haunted stairs and then finished it off in the fountain area in front of First National Bank of Omaha.

Jaime – Jaime is sisters of my good friend Adia. I put out a call for models for more TTD shoots and Jaime answered that call. Glad she did as she was so much fun to work with as well as her boyfriend who is the groom by the car in the distance on one of the pics. Very professional and beautiful as well.

Katie – Katie I can safely say is one of my best female friends and just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I shot her wedding a few years ago and now is trashing the dress due to the end of the marriage. You will see more of Katie in the future, so stay tuned!

Jessica – I did a portrait shoot with Jessica and she to wanted in on the TTD thing but we could never get our schedules to meet. During a break during a maternity photo shoot I was doing (the mom went into labor two hours after the shoot but thats another story for another day) Jessica and I were trying to get our schedules together for a TTD shoot. The only day I had before the weather would turn bad was a day she was going to be in a Zombie walk. Well the light bulb went off in both our heads and so the Zombie bride TTD shoot was born!

Pamela – Pam is neighbors with my best friend who I met at one of his many gatherings at his home. She was questioning about my photography and was really intrested in the TTD and wanted to see and learn more about it. Once she had a chance to see what it was all about she went and bought a dress at a five and dime and the pictures tell the story from there. We shoot her TTD session with a country theme and started it around 5am. Yup I am all about no sleep or getting up at the butt crack of dawn to get the vision I am looking for.

I hope you enjoy the TTD session video!

Tina and Johns Wedding

by admin on Aug.18, 2009, under Uncategorized

Funny story how I met Tina and John, a bit to long for this forum so if you get me alone sometime ask me how I met Tina and John. What I can say about Tina and John is that if you want to know what a relationship should be look at them. Look I know relationships are not perfect, you have to take the good with the bad but looking at these two you know they make it work and its so reassuring when you look onto your own relationship. I couldnt be more blessed in knowing these two wonderful people and I wish them nothing more than peace and happiness. Expect more pics of these two in the future!

The O’bergs Family Shoot

by admin on Aug.18, 2009, under Uncategorized

I went to Kearney this last weekend to shoot my cousin Shilo’s family and just had a blast! I have been wanting to shoot a little girl on a daybed in the woods or a woodsy area with a feather pillow ripped open and having her just go nuts throwing them about. Grace was a pro! The boys were just as equally great and I actually got a few smiles out of Jackson and from what I am told that is a rare feat! Thank you Jeff and Shilo for thinking of me and capturing moments for you!

Heather and Matt Garton Wedding

by admin on Aug.18, 2009, under Uncategorized

I had the pleasure and honor to shoot Matt and Heathers wedding on 07/25/09 up at the Unicorn Castle in Pacific Junction, IA. Matt and I went to high school together. Matt you married a good one brotha! This wedding was a blast to shoot as they are an easy going family so no bridezilla moments were to be found. Scott assisted me along with Courtney my new assistant and I hope this wont be her last time shooting with me. I have a good feeling I will be shooting this couple again in the near future! ;-)

Anna and Chads Engagement Shoot

by admin on Aug.16, 2009, under Uncategorized

Well we did two days worth of shooting for these two and had a blast even though we fought off allergies, ticks and the regular country buggers out there and then the next morning we had a caffine riddled shoot down in the old market. Thank god for Red Bull! Anna and Chad are one of those couples that make you feel good about being in a relationship. As you can see in the pics they’re full love of life with each other, yep all kittens and puppies and warm fuzzy feelings! Lol. Anna and Chad well see you in few weeks on the wedding day.

Coffee and Ice Cream

by admin on Aug.16, 2009, under Uncategorized

I was contacted by an old school mate earlier this summer that I hadnt seen in close to 20 years. Jack is in a new relationship with a an absolutely beautiful woman, Jennifer. Well to celebrate this new found love they hired me to capture who they are and what their relationship is to each other. I had Scott assist me with the shoot, who is Scott you ask? Scott is a great photographer who is a blast to shoot and and hang out with and to see some of his work click here. So we did a coffee shop theme and Ice Cream theme with Jack and Jen. I had been waiting for a long time to do a coffee shop shoot with a couple and got my chance. We shot at Blue Line Coffee over by the Qwest Center and The Slowdown. Then it was off to the old market where the two of them ordered a cone from Ted and Wally’s Ice Cream Parlor. Thanks to Jack and Jen for being so warm and welcome to my ideas as I had an absolute blast!
